Young Guns Day
Held every Easter, Summer and Christmas holidays. The next Young Guns Day will take place on Wednesday 21 August 2013.
The object of the day is to introduce youngsters (10 - 16) to the sport of Shotgun Shooting and encourage those already taking part. Throughout, our qualified instructors place emphasis on the safe use and handling of shotguns.
The cost for the day is £70.00 which includes a snack lunch and all cartridges and clays used.
The day is open to both boys and girls between the ages of 10 and 16 (and possibly under 10 depending on size).
The day starts at 10.00am with an introductory talk to all the youngsters and they are then split into groups of approximately 6-8. The morning is taken up with instructional shooting over several different types of target ie Going Away, Crossing, Overhead, Rabbit etc. The afternoon shooting is a friendly competition and should finish by 3.00pm with presentation of prizes and certificates.
We provide guns, ammunition and clays, as well as protection for eyes, head and hearing. If they have their own guns we recommend that they bring them, and also suitable outdoor clothing as the weather can sometimes be wet and cold.
Young Guns Days are held during every school holiday and if you wish to be put on the mailing list please contact us with your full details.
