Coming from the west, the best approach to the Shooting Grounds is from the Thanet Way A299 which connects directly with the M2 (follow the Ramsgate signs). Come off this road at Herne Bay junction (also sign posted Canterbury and Sturry) on to the A291 following the Canterbury signs. Pass through the village of Herne and follow the Canterbury direction for about five or ten minutes when you will enter the village of Sturry. You will descend a fairly long hill and the Shooting Ground is on your right about 3/4 of the way down the hill. This route completely avoids Canterbury. Telephone Greenfields on 01227 713222
